Dr. Gillis is a board-certified physician and surgeon with over 25 years of experience in gut health and gastrointestinal surgery. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Inland Hospital (until its closure in June 2025), currently sits on the State Medical Board in Augusta, and holds hospital privileges at MaineGeneral and St. Mary’s. In 2023, Dr. Gillis made a life-changing decision—not just for himself, but for his community. Seeing the link between obesity and colon cancer, he set out to educate and support patients in making healthier, more informed choices.
